Dairy farm
Only by milking healthy, well-fed cows, raised in a clean dairies we can obtain good quality milk. No industrial process can improve raw milk quality. Milk is cooled below 4°C immediately after collection.
Processing facility
Milk is classified according to its quality. Only milk containing less than 50,000 total bacterial counts will be accepted as La Serenísima milk.
Manufacturing facility
Immediately after classification, milk is transported to the manufacturing facility, always cooled to preserve quality. .
Pasteurization
Raw milk is pasteurized after unloading. It is heated at 72°C during 29 seconds, followed by rapid cooling to destroy most of pathogenic bacteria. This process helps ensure a product with a good keeping quality. Pasteurized milk is used to manufacture ultra-pasteurized and UHT (ultra high temperature) milk, milk powder, dulce de leche [milk caramel], cream, butter, cheese, cheese spreads, yogurts and desserts.
Retailers
Finished products are transported in refrigerated trucks to thousand of retailers countrywide, so they can reach many families every day.
